this honestly seems less like “asshole smart car owner” and more “assholes fucking with the smart car owner.” Those cart return things are pretty easy to move if you’ve a couple pairs of hands, and they usually don’t sit that close to the end of a parking row.

Yeah, if this was done by the guy in the car, then I’m not sure who he’s pranking, other than himself. Congratulations, you’ve just barricaded yourself inside your own car?

For at least the third time this month, a young child has shot and killed someone. On Tuesday afternoon, a five-year-old boy fatally shot his two-year-old sister in Cumberland County, Kentucky with .22 rifle the five-year-old was given as a gift.

“It’s a Crickett,” Cumberland County Coroner Gary White told the Lexington Herald-Leader. “It’s a little rifle for a kid.”

The rifle, which was usually stored in one of the home’s corners, was inadvertently left loaded, according to White. The boy’s mother was home at the time of the shooting.

“The little boy’s used to shooting the little gun,” White said, before saying the shooting will be ruled accidental. “Just one of those crazy accidents.”

Just one of those crazy accidents. You know, the completely unpredictable kind of accident that occurs when you give a five-year-old a rifle and leave it lying around the house, unattended.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because, sadly, it is. Earlier this month, a four-year-old shot and killed a deputy’s wife with a handgun. The next day a two-year-old reportedly shot his mother in the stomach with a 9mm Glock. Two days later, another four-year-old shot a six-year-old in the head, killing him.

Uh, guns are not good gifts. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t even allowed play guns at age 5. From now on, let’s just give kids soccer balls. Everyone loves soccer balls, especially those small mini ones.

I don’t want to live on this planet anymore…

hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.

also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it.

anyway haha i have literally been staring at this for 9 hours i don’t even know which direction is up anymore. thanks for reading!!!

This sort of thing is heartbreaking, and I really wish it was something I could change. Everyone should be able to have a funtime and do what they love as long as they don’t hurt other people in the process. Awful people make a mess of everything, and it pains me that having one awful person in a crowd of twenty can still make someone’s experience horrible.

And more variety in portrayals can only help the comics industry and the video game industry. Variety in builds, variety in tone, variety in concept, variety in target audience. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: I want everyone to love comics, and that means not every comic is going to be for me.
